LEGION OF PROG

Location: Tim McLoone's Supper Club, 1200 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ
DOORS OPEN AT 6pm, SHOW STARTS AT 7pm.

For most of the 1970s and into the '80s, progressive rock ruled the airwaves and concert halls. The music made by Yes, Genesis, Rush, Pink Floyd and other "prog" bands was at once both complex and tuneful, and featured great musicianship and epic storytelling. And we LOVED it!

The Jersey Shore's own Legion of Prog plays faithful renditions of the finest music from the progressive rock era. We're returning to Tim McLoone's Supper Club on Sunday, August 22nd with an expanded repertoire, including several epic-length tunes that are among the genre's best-loved. (Cue the barking dogs, the lighthouse bells, the rushing water and the chirping birds...)

You don't need a black-light room or incense. Just come and join us ... and let the sound take you away.

Other CD releases that have expanded JD&SC's fan base are the fan favorites "Rock & Roll Station" in 2000, "Glow" in 1998, and "Mirrors, Shoestrings & Cards" in 1996.

Stone Caravan has come a long way since founding members D'Urso, Dan Albanese, Rich Sica and Bob Place got together in the summer of 1989 in a crammed bedroom in Long Island City, NY. The band was originally named "Three Chords & The Truth" but after six months was renamed "Stone Caravan" and then renamed "Joe D'Urso & Stone Caravan" upon releasing their third record in 1993, "Rock-Land".

D'Urso remains true to an ideal inspired by the late Harry Chapin: that it is essential to help the less fortunate. He currently sits on the board of directors for a number of charity organizations including The Light of Day Foundation, which raises awareness and funds for Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative disease's, WhyHunger and is a founding member of Artists Against Hunger and Poverty.
